Outdoor Play

Keeley’s Gardens offer an excellent outdoor environment for your child to explore, discover and experiment, through active play!

Outdoor play is an essential part of the day at Keeley’s. Learning outside the classroom supports the development of healthy and active lifestyles by offering children opportunities for physical activity, freedom and movement, and promoting a sense of well-being. It also gives children contact with the natural world and offers them experiences that are unique to outdoors, such as direct contact with the weather and the seasons.

Our garden has a range of toys and apparatus for our children to enjoy including: bikes, a balancing beam, a drawing area, a planting area and a mud kitchen. We also have a large covered area at our Croydon nursery allowing our children to enjoy being outside all year round, with a similarly sheltered area to be installed at our Horsham site soon.

Sensory Room

Keeley’s Sensory Room in our Croydon site provides the perfect creative environment for your child to learn through play! Our interactive Bubble Tube, complete with iPad controls, creates a fascinating visual experience, with changing colours and moving balls. It’s the perfect centrepiece for our relaxing Sensory Room!

Our tactile Splats make exciting clusters of textures for the children to explore and accompany our Wot’s in the Wellie panel. These fun and exciting tactile toys can be used and enjoyed by children of all ages. Our staff often hide small objects in each wellie for children to discover, match, count and talk about! The room is perfectly completed with soft floor and padded walls to keep the children safe while they relax, play and learn.

We are currently working on a brand new Sensory Room for our Horsham setting and hope to have it ready by the end of year!
